Busy Summer

It has been a fun and busy summer at the Hough household. While my mom was on her mission trip to Mbita, Kenya, my Grandma Westbury stayed with us. Grace really enjoyed chasing her dog Penny around the house. Grace is crawling everywhere and into everything! It is so much fun!! After that my in-laws came for a nice visit. Grace finally got to meet her Great Grandpa Homer Hough. We also celebrated Ben's 31st b-day with a cake and to the courts to play some tennis. While they were here, my nephew Jude was put in the hospital and we had the pleasure of keeping my 4 year old nephew Roman. I love my Roman!! He is so much fun to have around! It is so quiet now that everyone is gone. :(

Beach Day

I took Grace to the beach with her Nana so we could spend some QT together before her mission trip to Kenya. Here are some cute pics of Grace discovering the ocean.

My Mother's Mission Trip

Please remember my mom's mission team in your prayers. They are traveling to Mbita Kenya June 6-18th to minister to the women there. Look Who's Crawling

Grace started crawling on Monday. It is so cute! I love watching her scoot around the house looking for things to explore. Here is a video of her new moves.

Beautiful Weekend

We enjoyed a beautiful weekend after what seemed like nonstop rain this past week. After church today, all three of us got in the baby pool - I'm sure we looked funny, but it was in the 90's and it was so refreshing! (Sorry, I don't have a picture of that one.) ;) Then we played in the yard and went on another bike ride. We had just left the house and one of the tires blew on the bike wagon, so thankfully we were close to home and opted for a long stroll instead.

Grace got to meet a close family friend, Jean Call this week. Jean and my G'ma Frances go way back. Jean was my school principal when we lived in TN. She always looks so great and never seems to age! We all met for a yummy dinner at the Boathouse.

Grace and I went to Roman's closing preschool program. Roman did a great job singing on stage!


We started early Saturday morning with a litter pick up around the neighborhood and the two schools that are in our subdivision. Grace enjoyed the ride. (Ben is taking the pic.)

This long black/brown snake was in our yard this week. Call me crazy, but I would rather have these in my yard than the creepy banana spiders that come out late in the summer.

Grace & I stayed with Nana/Pappy last weekend and Grace got to spend some quality time with her Uncle Matthew & Auntie Natalie, too.

8 Month Update

Little Miss Grace loves to play! She is trying her best to crawl, but for now she just rolls everywhere!! It's amazing how much stuff she can get into already.

Ben's garden is doing so well. We have enjoyed a few homegrown salads already! Yum!

Baby Pool Fun

Grace is enjoying her baby pool that Auntie Lindsay gave her. She has been in it several times. She even went swimming at Great Grandma's Pool...but of course, I forgot my camera! She loved being in the baby float once she got used to the cool water.
