Spring Has Sprung

We enjoyed a beautiful weekend with Grandma Hough. We took some beautiful pictures of us with the azaleas in bloom. I love spring!

Grace at play.

Grace is doing so much better in the high chair. She is eating all sorts of baby foods now. She can't get enough of her bananas and peas!

This is another cute dress that Grandma Hough made for Grace. I thought the jeans added a nice touch!

We are looking forward to our garden this year. Ben planted peas, beans, cukes, lettuce and carrots. Hopefully the bugs aren't looking forward to it, too!

Hampton Happenings

I posted two separate blogs today, so be sure to read both!

We enjoyed spending some quality time with my family this weekend. Grace and I visited Grandma/pa Page to celebrate G'pa's 82nd b-day! It was a relaxing and beautiful weekend.

This is a picture of my Grandparent's backyard at sunset.

Grace and GGma

This was the most comfortable hammock/swing seat. Grace took a nap in my arms while we sat in it for a couple of hours.

A beautiful day to relax and be outdoors

My Aunt Peggy and Uncle Denny

We finished up the weekend in Mt Pleasant where we grilled burgers and watched some Clemson basketball.

Happy 1/2 Birthday!

I can't believe she's already six moths old! It has gone by so fast and it just keeps getting faster. She finally rolled over and today I noticed that she is cutting a tooth on the bottom gums. She is just about ready to sit up on her own soon. She is enjoying avocado and sweet peas right now, especially sweet peas.

Foot Fettish

Grace loves her feet! She has tried so hard to put them in her mouth. She finally managed to get a foot in her mouth last night when I was changing her diaper. A mother could never be so proud! :)

Some cute smiley pics of our baby.

We tried to introduce solids to Grace and she has had a reaction to her veggies, so we're going to hold off a little longer. I must say that Ben is the cleanest baby feeder. When I feed her, there is food all over me and her!

Happy Valentines Day 2009

We enjoyed another beautiful week outdoors with lots of long walks.

It was also the annual backyard bird count. Here is a picture of Ben counting birds on the bridge behind our house that leads to the walk/bike trail.

Grace tries on Daddy's sunglasses.

No need to wear Daddy's sunglasses anymore! Nana got Grace some of her own!

Nana, Auntie Lindsay, Jude & Grace take a walk. What a workout pushing those two in the stroller!

We enjoyed a relaxing Valentine's Day at home. Ben grilled steaks and I made homemade sugar cookies, then off to watch Ben's jr. boys' basketball game. They won!!

Outdoor Fun

We have been enjoying beautiful mid-70's weather these past few days. My Mom, Grace and I walked the new Cooper River bridge - it's our only "mountain" close by and it is great exercise! Of course Grace decided to be hungry on top of the bridge. I'm sure when she's older, she'll be glad to know that I nursed her on top of the bridge!!! At home, we have been taking long walks and watching Daddy work in the yard.

The tent keeps the mosquitoes and wasps away. Who would have thought we'd have that problem in February?!?

A beautiful view from the top of the bridge.

It's windy up there - bundle up!

Eye Surgery & Embarrassing Photos

Ben had Lasik eye surgery on Friday (thank you Grandma Hough!). We stayed the weekend in Mt. Pleasant and had a great time visiting with Nana & Pappy. Ben didn't sleep much the night before his surgery (I wouldn't either if I was going to have my eyes cut open) so, he spent most of the weekend resting his eyes & catching up on his sleep. The surgery went well and Ben's vision is improving every day.

He got these cool glasses to wear.

These are his protective goggles that he has to sleep in to keep him from rubbing his eyes and to keep Grace from scratching his eyes.

Okay, here are some Grace photos. (I know that's what you want to see!) She has this thing with sticking out her tongue. It has been hanging out of her mouth all day.
She is so funny!

This photo is from last weekend. Grace & Jude took a bath together. (When they get older, they are going to kill us for taking this picture!)

Grace loves bath time; she loves to splash while she is in the bathtub and it gets me all wet!

Some cute pajamas that Grandma Hough made for Grace.

Tummy time. She tries to roll over, but hasn't made it all the way yet.
