June Update

Here are some recent pics of all of us. We have been busy visiting with family and introducing our sweet baby Abigail to everyone. She is growing so fast at 9 weeks and 14 lbs! I love her chubby legs...just like her sister Grace! Grace is such a great helper and loves her new baby :)

Baby Abigail

Here are some pictures (okay, a lot) of our new baby girl, Abigail. She decided to come on Easter Eve and has been such a wonderful blessing to our home. Grace loves helping take care of Abigail and is a great helper. I am so blessed to be the mother of these two girls!

8 lbs. 4 oz. Good thing she came early!

I was so thankful to have Nana in the delivery with me!

Grace meets Abigail for the 1st time. Ben and I joked that Grace probably thought Abigail was my imaginary friend since we had been talking about her for so long. haha

Proud Grandma Hough was so sweet to come help take care of Grace for several days while I recovered.

March 2011

Here are some pictures from the month of March. Grace is 2 1/2 years old now and is growing up so fast. She understands so much and talks non-stop, which I love....most of the time! :) She has a really good sense of humor and enjoys trying to make her daddy and I laugh. She loves to make up her own songs and she also likes me to make up random songs. She is definitely my little songbird. Maybe it has something to do with all those choir practices she has gone to since she was born. Grace is so excited about being a big sister and randomly hugs my belly and lifts my shirt to give a kiss to our sweet baby. Grace enjoys putting the baby clothes and diapers on her baby dolls and going through all the baby drawers and playing  in the crib. So much for having the nursery in order! We are counting down the weeks to our new baby - less than a month to go!!! Yipeee!!!

Grace & I visited GGma & Papa Jack. Grace loves to run around their beautiful property.

Grace has gotten to know all the staff at my Dr's office and we bring lots of fun things to do while we wait for the Dr to check my belly!

Here is a 3D picture of our baby girl (in utero). Look at those chubby cheeks!

Grace got to spend some one-on-one time with her cousin Jude. They play so well together when it is just the two of them.

February Fun

I am looking forward to February coming to a close because that means we are closer to spring and also that much closer to having another sweet baby in our arms! Here is what we've been up to lately...albeit not much since Grace and I have just recovered from being sick with a nasty respiratory bug the past two weeks. Thankfully we are both feeling better now!!

Grace loves to feed Nick the horse. He comes running when he sees her and she is very comfortable around him. In this pic she grabs his nose to give him a kiss!

Our sweet neighbors gave Grace a valentine cookie...yum, yum!

With a real tea cup, too!

Cutest Puppy In The World

Nana & Pappy just adopted the cutest puppy and appropriately named him Yogi! He is the sweetest, softest, cuddliest puppy. He is a lab/golden retriever mix. They let us babysit him this past weekend and we took him to the park for 2 hours and wore him out! I was sad to let him go back home, but we will have so much fun visiting him at Nana & Pappy's house! Saki even enjoyed having a playmate (at times). There is a cute video of them running together at the end of this post.

Grace loved to play tug-of-war with Yogi!

Ben fell in love with Yogi, too!

More tug of war!

Looks like we wore somebody out!

RIP St George

Our kitty St George passed away a couple of weeks ago. We are sad to lose a member of our family, but know that he is not sick anymore. We told Grace that George died and went to heaven (at least I can't imagine heaven without animals!) Here are some pictures of George over the years.

George loved to sleep in Grace's bed when we were away. He wouldn't go near her room when she was home, though.

Ben never liked to waken George from sleeping.

Of course Saki wanted some attention, too.

I think he found a comfy spot here.

This is last year's Xmas picture. Of course George was just taking a nap and didn't know that he was cooperating.

Couldn't leave anything open or George would find his way inside.

George always loved food. He's hoping for some of Ben's bday cake.

George was actually lactose intolerant. We tried to feed him milk in this pic and learned that it didn't stay down. Gross!

Merry Christmas!

We had a wonderful Christmas visiting family to celebrate the birth of our Savior! We began the festivities with a Christmas Eve service at our church and then came home to open our gifts before we headed to my parent's house on Christmas Day. The day after Christmas we travelled (while snowing) to my Granparent's house to visit more family. It was a great time and of course we all ate too much!

Enjoying my mom's famous Christmas breakfast of stuffed french toast with apricot syrup - Yum!

Grace LOVES to open gifts - even ones that aren't for her. Here she is smiling about her new tea set (plastic). The tea sets she got for her birthday are gone because they were porcelain and broke on our tile floors.

Washing the tea set with Nana.

We decorated a HUGE gingerbread man. Grace was nice enough to let me take a taste!

This was from my Mom's side Christmas party last weekend. We had a great time singing Christmas carols together.

This is the end of Christmas Day - whew we were exhausted!

Baby Jesus' happy birthday cake I made. It was red velvet with cream cheese icing.
